This year I took the Human Kinetics co-op program taught by Ms. Phillips because it intrigued me. Through all the years of high school you get to experience the many different science opportunities, you can go from a simple dissection to creating chemical reactions but never have I came across a science directed towards the fitness of the body and its health. The exercise science class is a way to understand your body to its full potential and how to keep it fit and healthy. I knew right then I had to take it, already being in a co-op once before I love the concept of the class becoming a team, a sort of family, and considering that we are graduating this year its a great opportunity to get to know some classmates you may not have even spoken to before this. Co-op brings everyone together, and gradually watching our bodies and minds progress for the better together is a wonderful experience to have. Co-op gave me confidence and taught me to be comfortable around my peers, I feel like this is a great asset for when I go to post secondary next year. Next year when i go to post secondary my goal is to study medicine or major in sciences. These subjects and areas fascinate my mind and I know that one day I will have a career in this field that will make me happy and successful. For a person no matter who and no matter the size, being fit should be top priority. In my mind a fit person is not someone who goes to the gym everyday or only eats protein bars. A fit person is someone who takes time out of their day to work on their bodies, who eat healthy because it nourishes the body better. A regular day for me may not always be the gym, but I do exercise daily. Sometimes it may be the gym, or I'll go for a jog or take time to do an activity like a sport or yoga. But something I have always done is kyokushin aka karate, kyokushin is full contact karate, with lots of kicks and punches and sparing, its a great workout and always good to know in the long run. Over the summer I did a lot of fitness. Summer is a great time to work out because most summer activities are so good for your body like, biking, swimming, running, or even just going outside. This semester I want to make my body healthier and fitter, I want to keep working at it and never stop, there can never bee too much improvement. I have always felt that you need to be comfortable in your own skin, some people dread themselves because of their body type and until they take a step towards the better side they wont be able to get anywhere, what defines me is my determination, if I set my mind to something i wont stop until i complete it, and that is a promise.
